APPLICATION
Product OSM 603 is recommended for industrial use as a non-oxidizing biocide in decontamination programs for membrane systems. The product washes the membrane surface, prevents the biochemical degradation of micro-organisms, the formation of unpleasant odors in the permiate, prolongs the service life of membranes and reduces maintenance costs. It is only suitable for non-food applications. It has a broad spectrum of action and is used to control the growth of bacteria, fungi, protozoa and algae, which cause biofouling and reduced efficiency.
PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS
OSM 603 is a concentrated liquid biocide based on organic bromide compounds with excellent microbiocidal properties. The product shows its action immediately. The active ingredients of the product disrupt the transport of nutrients through the cell membrane and nucleus, up to the destruction of the membrane. It has biodispersing properties, destroying and removing biofilm. OSM 603 is a stable, non-volatile, non-foaming biocide. OSM 603 is non-corrosive and does not react with metals, rubber and other materials. The product works in both acidic and slightly alkaline environments. OSM 603 is compatible with all anti-scalants and is recommended for cleaning heavily contaminated systems. Do not use with bisulfite-based products.

DOSAGE
OSM 603 is dosed with a dosing pump, by giving periodic shock doses. Typical dosage is 150-200 g/m3 once or twice a week for one hour at the inlet of a reverse osmosis plant with poor pretreatment.
To wash the membranes from the fouling, the washing solution is taken: 100-150 OSM 603 per 1 m3 of washing solution (depends on the degree of contamination). The product should be diluted with permiate. It is recommended to soak the solution for at least 15 minutes, followed by circulation of the solution for 1 to 2 hours at a temperature of 30-40 ° C and thorough washing with permiautom. The duration and frequency of the rinses depend on the contamination of the membranes. Advice on optimization is provided by our technical experts.

STORAGE AND HANDLING
OSM 603 should be stored and handled with suitable protective clothing and goggles. Store in a dry, cool and well-ventilated room, in a tightly closed container, away from heat sources, avoid direct sunlight. Shelf life is two years from date of manufacture.
