Place of storage
Activated carbon should be stored in closed packages in a dry
place with a temperature of 5 – 80 ° C, away from sources of ignition and
solvent vapors. Exposure to direct sunlight and moisture is not allowed.
The shelf life of the product is limited.
Safety.
Wet activated carbon adsorbs oxygen from the air, which is dangerous
when working inside activated carbon containers in closed or
poorly ventilated areas.
Under certain conditions, contact with oxidizing agents and
certain organic compounds such as ketones (e.g. acetone), acrylates
esters, volatile acids, amines, etc., activated carbon can react exothermically
exothermically. In case of a sharp rise in temperature, cooling with water is recommended.
