GranCarbon is a granular carbon made from selected, high-performance, quality grades of carbon. It is specially formulated for drinking water treatment, eliminating substances that affect color, taste and odor. In addition, it is an ideal media for wastewater and process water filtration applications, removing organic impurities to a level.

Place of storage
Activated carbon should be stored in closed packages in a dry place with a temperature of 5 – 80 °C, away from sources of ignition and solvent vapors. Exposure to direct sunlight and moisture is not allowed.
Safety.
Wet activated carbon adsorbs oxygen from the air, which is a hazard when working inside activated carbon containers in closed or poorly ventilated areas. Under certain conditions, when in contact with oxidizing agents and certain organic compounds such as ketones (e.g. acetone), acrylates, esters, volatile acids, amines, etc., activated carbon can react exothermically. In case of a sharp rise in temperature, cooling with water is recommended.
