APPLICATION
OSM604 is a liquid acid concentrate. It softens and cleans hardly soluble carbonate and iron deposits on membrane elements. It is intended for membrane ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis systems. It is used for all types of membranes. All components of the concentrate can be used in the food and pharmaceutical industries. The product is suitable for membrane systems producing drinking water.
PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS
OSM 604 is a special formulation for the washing of hardly soluble carbonate salts and iron compounds. These salts in the form of solid deposits gradually block the membranes and prevent filtration. As a result, the pressure drop increases and the plant’s performance decreases, and it can also lead to deformation and rupture of the membrane elements. The high-performance components of OSM 604 concentrate soften and disperse the deposits.

DOSAGE
The frequency of flushing depends on the operating mode and performance characteristics of the membrane plant. Indicators of the need to flush the plant are deterioration of the filtrate quality, reduced productivity and/or an increase in the pressure drop by more than 15%. The working solution is prepared in a special chemically resistant container and it is recommended to use permeate for its preparation. Add 30-50 kg of OSM 604 concentrate to 1 m3 (1000 l) of working solution. The pH of the cleaning solution should be at the level of 1.5-2.5. If it is necessary to correct the pH, use alkali, ammonia water (NH4OH) or alkaline concentrate OSM 606. Circulate the cleaning solution for 2-24 hours. The temperature of the cleaning solution should not exceed 40 °C. Consultations on optimization of the washing regime are provided by our technical specialists.

STORAGE AND HANDLING
